If you haven’t been by my site lately, at least since last weekend, you may not have noticed my new design. And yes, this is my third in the last 12 months. I’m still using the theme Genesis, but switched to the Balance child theme. It’s clean, simple, more focused on my content.
So what else has changed in the content department?
I’m still very much focused on my WordPress training and support services. But I also wanted to bring my blog to the forefront.
Because I have some stuff to say!
Up to now, the BobWP blog has been primarily WordPress tutorials via video or screenshots, with a scattering of post with tips and how-to advice. Since this is my specialty, you will still see these kinds of posts every week.
But you will find another kind of post as well.
In addition to talking about blogging, I’ll be bringing you my thoughts on social media, online marketing, and other ideas that cross my mind. My goal is to use my 20 years + of experience in marketing and design to bring you some unique perspectives—and sometimes just food for thought. While I’m not fond of pushing out tons of rant posts, I will occasionally tell you what’s on my mind.
I may not be your “twenty-something-’rockstar’-kick-ass blogger- social media guru expert- filled with awesomeness.” But I’ve been around, I’ve experienced a lot of shit, and, well, like I said, I have some stuff to say.
If you want honesty, with no spin, I invite you to subscribe to the BobWP blog and join our community.

Bob, you have the longevity of the Rolling stones
I love this reincarnation, you did a fab job with Cat’s Eye Writer and you have brought some of that clean, fresh look here. I’d never have known it was the Balance theme if you hadn’t have said, it’s just so fresh.
As for your image, that’s just begging to be pinned… hang on… dunnit
@SarahArrow Must say I just love being compared to the Rolling Stones, just hoping I don’t start looking like Mick or Keith : )
And appreciate the compliments… it just seems as if we are all starting to shoot more for simple and clear. Loving the Balance theme as well, Genesis just keeps putting out more and more awesome child themes that make our jobs so much easier.
Glad you liked the image, a little photoshop work and done!
Bob, I like the clean look of the re-design and look forward to the no-spin posts. There’s something to be said for real-life experience!
@JensenWebsites Thanks, and yes, just have some honest thoughts bottled up in me ready to be spewed out!
Me too… this is a clean look and appeals to my taste. I like “highly stylized white space”… Since we’re both so busy these days and don’t get together in person as much as I’d like, I’m looking forward to your perspectives and thoughts (-spin)…
@Rene Fabre Glad you like the new design. And always great to hear from you my friend. One of these days we will have lunch again!
